Job Opening: Rigger – ADNOC Oil & Gas Project

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Profile Summary

The Rigger is responsible for preparing, securing, and guiding the safe lifting, movement, and positioning of heavy loads using cranes and lifting equipment. The role ensures all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, ADNOC HSE standards, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualification & Experience

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Rigger in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sector.
• Valid Rigger certification (Level I/II/III as applicable) is preferred.
• Good knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, load calculations, and hand signals.
• Familiarity with ADNOC HSE requirements, lifting plans, and permit-to-work systems.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and other lifting gear before use.
• Select and attach appropriate rigging equipment based on the load and lifting plan.
• Guide crane operators using approved hand signals or radio communication during lifting operations.
• Ensure loads are properly balanced, secured, and safely lifted, moved, and positioned.
• Conduct pre-lift inspections and identify potential hazards before lifting activities begin.
• Maintain exclusion zones and ensure personnel remain clear of suspended loads.
• Report defective lifting equipment and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Comply with ADNOC HSE policies, lifting procedures, and company safety standards at all times.
