Job Opening: Fire Watcher – ADNOC Oil & Gas Project

Job Profile Summary
The Fire Watcher is responsible for monitoring hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding to prevent fire hazards and ensure a safe working environment. The role involves identifying potential fire risks, maintaining continuous surveillance of work areas, and responding promptly to emergencies while ensuring compliance with ADNOC HSE standards and permit-to-work requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Fire Watcher in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sector.
- Valid Fire Watch, Fire Fighting, and First Aid/CPR certifications (preferred).
- Knowledge of hot work permits, fire prevention practices, and ADNOC HSE regulations.
- Physically fit with good observation, communication, and emergency response skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all hot work activities, including welding, cutting, and grinding, to prevent fire incidents.
- Ensure fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment are available, inspected, and ready for immediate use.
- Continuously observe the work area for sparks, combustible materials, and other fire hazards.
- Stop work and immediately report any unsafe conditions or violations of permit-to-work requirements.
- Respond quickly to fire emergencies and assist in evacuation and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with HSE personnel, supervisors, and emergency response teams to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain fire watch records, inspection checklists, and incident reports in accordance with ADNOC safety procedures.
