Job Opening: Banksman – ADNOC Oil & Gas Project

Job Profile Summary

The Banksman is responsible for safely directing and controlling the movement of vehicles, cranes, and heavy equipment within the project site. The role involves using standard hand signals and communication methods to guide operators, prevent accidents, and ensure lifting and transportation activities are carried out safely in compliance with ADNOC HSE standards.

Qualification & Experience

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Banksman in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sector.
• Valid Banksman/Flagman certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of lifting operations, traffic management, hand signals, and site safety procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and guide cranes, heavy vehicles, and equipment using approved hand signals and communication devices.
• Ensure safe movement of vehicles and personnel within the work area.
• Assist during lifting operations by coordinating with crane operators, riggers, and supervisors.
• Inspect work areas for potential hazards before vehicle movements and lifting activities.
• Maintain exclusion zones and prevent unauthorized personnel from entering hazardous areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
• Ensure all operations comply with ADNOC HSE requirements, lifting plans, and permit-to-work procedures.
