Job Opening: Steel Fixer

Job Profile Summary

The Steel Fixer is responsible for cutting, bending, positioning, and securing reinforcing steel bars and mesh for concrete structures. The role ensures reinforcement work is carried out accurately according to engineering drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.

Qualification & Experience

• High school education or ITI/Trade Certificate is preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Steel Fixer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules, and steel fixing techniques.
• Ability to use steel fixing tools and equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Cut, bend, assemble, and fix steel reinforcement bars and mesh as per project specifications.
• Secure reinforcement using wire ties, spacers, and supports before concrete pouring.
• Inspect reinforcement work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain tools, follow site safety procedures, and coordinate with supervisors and other construction teams.
